|In the 1960's President John F. Kennedy announced that the President's council on Physical Fitness was beginning a physical fitness program for schools. Inspired by the idea, Meredith Willson, composer of "The Music Man" "The Unsinkable Molly Brown," and "Till There was You" a song that was later recorded by the Beatles - immediately wrote "Chicken Fat" as his contribution to the Kennedy Fitness program. Since its beginning "Chicken Fat" has been one of the most popular youth fitness programs in the nation. This video has been created in the spirit of fitness and fun for all!|

|Watching TV may keep kids
busy and out of trouble after school, but staring at the tube all
afternoon won't do much to improve their physical fitness ... unless the
VCR is playing "Chicken Fat: The Youth Fitness Video."
Chicken Fat is the creation of Scott Drayer, a father of two who couldn't help but notice his little daughter mimicking kids she saw exercising on TV. Seeking to encourage her, Drayer went to a video store to look for a children's fitness video but could find very few good ones.
Toying with the idea of making his own children's fitness video, Drayer remembered a song called "Chicken Fat" that was popular during his childhood. Written for the President's Council on Physical Fitness in the 1960's to encourage children to enjoy exercising, the song was distributed to nearly every elementary school in the country.

|"Chicken Fat - The Youth
Fitness Video," was created by us so that children could experience
the fun we as children had exercising to the Chicken Fat song. In the
sixties and seventies Chicken Fat was part of thousands of elementary
and middle school physical fitness programs.
Chicken Fat is a unique children's exercise video, inspired by the popular 1960's fitness song of the same name. The video is designed to target the fitness needs of children ages 2-12, and provide a memorable, entertaining and inviting way for children to exercise. The video is also educational, as it begins with President Kennedy's remarks on the importance of youth fitness.
As you know, the need for children's educational and fitness products are a necessity in todays environment; many schools are reducing their physical fitness education programs, and parents are eager to foster activities that promote good nutrition and fitness. Likewise, today's youth are highly interested in sports and exercise.
Chicken Fat has appeared on; CNN, NBC, and Fox 5 and has been seen in the following periodicals; Womans Day, School Library Journal, LA Times, NY Post, NY Newsday, Boston Globe, Billboard, Chicago Tribune, New Jersey Monthly, Asbury Park Press, Mom's Online, Bloomberg News, Video Business, Video Week, United Press International, Gannet News and many others
